Navy Day

Navy Day was established on October 27, 1922, by the Navy League of the United States. Although it was not a national holiday, Navy Day received particular attention from President Warren Harding. Harding wrote to the Secretary of the Navy Edwin Denby:

“Thank you for your note which brings assurance of the notable success which seems certain to attend the celebration of Navy Day on Friday, October 27, in commemoration of past and present services of the Navy. From our earliest national beginnings, the Navy has always been and deserved to be, an object of particular pride to the American people. Its record is indeed one to inspire such sentiments, and I am very sure that such a commemoration, as is planned, will be a timely reminder.”

“It is well for us to have in mind that under a program of lessening naval armaments there is a greater reason for maintaining the highest efficiency, fitness and morale in this branch of the national defensive service. I know how earnestly the Navy personnel are devoted to this idea and want you to be assured of my hearty concurrence.”

October 27 was suggested by the Navy League to recognize Theodore Roosevelt’s birthday. Roosevelt had been an Assistant Secretary of the Navy and supported a strong Navy as well as the idea of Navy Day. Also, October 27 was the anniversary of a 1775 report issued by a special committee of the Continental Congress favoring the purchase of merchant ships as the foundation of an American Navy.

Navy Day was last observed on Oct. 27, 194

What they brought to the U.S of A

This is a post of a dear friend of mine I thought I would share I did ask his permission and he gave me a thumbs up so take it way John

Pardon me while I rant.
When the Chinese came here in the 1800s, they brought great food and built a transcontinental railroad and didn’t try to convert us or kill us.
When the Italians came here, they brought great food and contributed to many aspects of our present-day society and culture. They brought great music, organized crime, plus a non-violent, Christ-centered religion, but they didn’t try to kill us.
When the Irish fled oppression and famine, they brought more of that same religion as had the Italians. They also brought election corruption (see: Boston, dead voters). They brought great music, an incredible work ethic. But…(wait for it)…they didn’t try to kill us.
As the Mexicans have come north, they have brought great food, great music, and more of that same religion brought by Italians and Irish. They have brought great art, and more of that great work ethic. They have not tried to kill us.
There is only one “religion” which enters a nation, a society, a people, which comes in with a predetermined set of options: convert or die. Wherever they have gained power, they have implemented their undeniable agenda. They are not shy about it. They are right up front. The meek and peaceful among their number are intimidated into silence. They, too, will become radicalized or will die at the hands of their ‘brothers.’
Okay. I’m through ranting. Have a nice day.

Looking back at 2013

Looking back on 2013  was it a great year no it was not, a bad year no I would class it as an in between year

The big story of the year was the rollout of the Obamacare website

obamacare-logo_full

and it’s total failure to run, It was totally unusable for more than two weeks. Then the first fix they tried was to tell people just to do the paper forms which did not work as well then Obama had to come out and admit he lied to the public about you could keep your Doctor if you wanted to! Which   was a total embarrassment to both Obama and the Democrat party

The Story next would be the Spying. Edward Snowden a former member of the NSA let loose a flood of information on the NSA collecting Phone records of people in the US not some of us but all of us

Which started a firestorm.Obama had and still has both sides coming at him over this. No one is happy to hear about this No matter how the mainstream press tried to spin it and to this day there are still some very angry people on both sides.

The year-end in Entertainment News. The big story being “’Duck Dynasty’ It seems the A&E were trying to cut off their own nose to spite their own face when it came to this one.

It seems that one of the stars of Duck Dynasty (Phil Robertson ) in a interview with GQ magazine let his feeling and what the Bible say about homosexuality out ” that it was a sin”and the folks over at GLAAD took offence and made a big stink to A&E about it , So A&E put Phil Robertson on suspension this backlashes on A&E big time leading to millions of people boycotting A&E on all social media, even gay people thought A&E went way overboard on this . In the end, the public won and Phil Robertson  is back

Stand With Phil Robertson

It’s important to provide some clarification about Zynga. Multiple members of our FB community say they’ve seen it. Outside of those first hand reports, we have no word from the company or any media source to confirm it.Until we are 100% certain that Zynga is rewriting their game to exclude Phil we shouldn’t call for an all out boycott. That said, if we do find proof (or better confirm the suspicions) we should definitely make it hurt for their company.

Here’s a few ways you can try to contact Zynga.

You know its bad when CNN

You know it’s bad when CNN can’t get Democrats, They won’t come onto a channel that gives them cover to talk about most things.CNN can’t get any Democrats to come on their show and defend Obamacare and its rollout.CNN is saying that they have “Republicans are tripping over themselves to come out and talk.”What going on here I recall  more than  one Democrat saying we will find out what in the law after we pass it Nancy Pelosi being the Biggest one, So where are you Ms.Pelois hiding behind your desk and a wall of staff. Why don’t you come out one more time and tell us why we should pass anything that you are the rest of your party don’t bother to read , Ms.Pelois  why are you a no-show on CNN defending this law that you were 100% behind before you passed it  without reading it

CNN

I can hazard a guess You know as well as the rest of Democrats that Obamacare is toxic it’s a ticking time bomb and you and the rest of the rats in D,C are trying to get as much distance as you can. I could be wrong but when the worst part comes in 2014 with any luck the folks in southern California will come out of the stupor they have been in for the last decade are so and kick your and Ms.Boxer butts out of office
